AOW

Having a younger person take over the government of a country has many implications, both positive and negative. Overall they are more negative. If you have a younger person take over, then you have someone who is unexperienced running your government and that's a bad thing. That person will have to gain experience while in office and they will do that by making mistakes. A more experienced person, an older person probably, won't make as many mistakes and not as big of mistakes either. On page 7 the article names a big mistake Kim Jong Un made, the new leader of North Korea, "In February it conducted a third nuclear test against the wishes of its only major ally, China." If you only have one major ally then you shouldn't do anything that could cause them to drop you as an ally. That's a bad thing because if you have to go to war with another country, you won't have anyone to help you. Your leader will also be in office a lot longer, and if he/she doesn't do a good a good job while in control, it will be hard and take a long time to fix their mistakes. I think it's a bad idea for young people to take control over the government. They are inexsperienced, have little respect, and could really mess up a country because of their inexperience.

Article of the Week

According to this paper there are three different types of learners. But to tell you the truth I'm not really a complete type of any of them. I'm more of a combination of two of them. I'm a leraner who usually does the bare minimum but according to the paper I should also just get the bare minimum graded to pass too. But I dont. I get the grades of someone who tries their hardest to get the best grade that they can. I do the bare minimum with the amount of work but I get really good grades usually. So I'm not really sure what kind of learner I am. But I am a combination of the two.

Article of the Week

Out of all the AOW's we've done I think that the one where the guy drew on the dry erase board was by far my favorite. It actually got my attention and made sense to me. I probably even learned a little bit too and I have to admit it was really good. Some of the stuff he said surprised me and intrigued me.If there was more like that one I would be more willing to do them and actually want to.

Slice of Life 3-28-13

Today is a big day for a lot of people for many different reasons. It's a big day for me because, well at 3:00 spring break starts and god knows we need a break from school! And on top of that people came out today to move my septic tank and everything so that we can get me pool put in. They should finish today but since the pool company wasn't sure they are probably going to start digging Monday. Which I guess is fine with me because I really just can't wait to have my own pool. It's going to be sweet and should be finished within a month after they start digging I think. We'll find out soon though!

Slice of Life 3-21-13

Good news! The people should finally start digging my pool next week and I mean it for real this time! They come out Friday morning for the final meet and greet and then sometime early in the week they should start digging. So since they're going to tear up my yard I figured I could start the job for them! Of course I wouldn't actually dig though, more life drive in the back yard get it kind of wet and sling mud every where. What would be wrong with that? Exactly, nothing. If they're going to tear up my yard I think I should at least have a part in it so I'm sure going to! Should be pretty fun.

Slice of Life 3-19-13

Today is the day. The day I get to work again. And go to the scrap metal yard but that's not really exciting. Maybe my mom will get my food for going and all the work I've done because gas is expensive and I had to do a lot. So I figure food would be a great reward because I love food! But back to me getting to work today... When I get home from the scrap metal yard, as long as it's nice out, I'm going to go work and make some money! So far this year I've hardly worked but that's about to change, thank god. Today should be a pretty good day other than having to be at school.

Homework

Ok so for this weeks article of the week I am going to blog about how I feel about the exams and MSL's. Obviously, well I hate them. I honestly think its stupid to make someone take a test in a class that doesn't even matter. I can understand having like 3 or 4 mandatory exams but I mean every class doesn't need to have one. Plus you can't even get exempt from the MSL's! Now how is that fair to us? I have always looked forward to not having to come to school on exam days and now for my second year of high school that wont happen anymore? I think that's stupid. If you miss too many days you should have to take the exam or if you don't have a good enough grade you should have to take it. You shouldn't have to take the test if you don't miss a certain amount of days or if you have the grades. I say we reject MSL's.

Slice of Life 3-14-13

So today is Thursday. Yep that's the best I could think of to start this. I don't think anything special is going to happen today. But I think the guys for my pool are finally coming out today so they can start digging this week or next. That's good I guess. Honestly I'm tired of school and all this homework. I can't stand being stuck in school when I could be outside doing something like swimming or playing basketball when it's warm enough. Oh well hopefully these last couple months of school go by fast.

Slice of Life 3-11-13

So this weekend I really didn't do anything except help tear down a house. Driving around on the bobcat was fun and watching the guy tear through the house with the back-ho was sweet. Since no one knew how to get to the landfill I rode around with a guy in the dump truck for a little while. When we got back we had some really good barbeque and home made fries. I can't even tell you how good those fries were. Oh my god they were amazing. And I had a nice cold mountain dew to wash it all down too. Then Sunday all I did was go to Cracker Barrel, clean my truck some, and just relax. Sunday was a good day.

Slice of Life 3-8-13

So tonight I had planned on going camping with some of my friends at the river. But there was a few problems on top of me not wanting to stay where we were. First I was the only person that knew where to go and how we were getting there even though I didn't pick the place. Second when we got to the place Andres tried taking us down the wrong trail so we drove clear to the other side and we found out after we got there we had it right the first. Sooooo we got to turn right around and drive right back but this time we went down the RIGHT trail too. Third that place was scary as crap I'm not going to lie. I was scared as crap and knew right away I wasn't staying there. No chance. But we ended up eating Mazatlan and I came back home and left everyone else to go camp on they're own.

Slice of Life 3-7-13

So lately I've been looking for a new, strong basketball goal because I have this tendancy to break them. I snapped a pole in half one day when I was dunking on it and that made me kind of mad because I didnt have a goal for like a month. But a few months ago I completely tore up the goal I had and the rim got all bent up and messed up the goal completely. Then the backboard fell off which I don't even understand how that happened. So I had a pole with a rim hanging on it and a bike lock to hold it up. That didn't work. So I haven't had a good goal for a good while now so yesterday I decided I would rip it out. Sadly I didn't get to burn my tires while I was doing that. But I'm still looking for a new goal and think I might have found the one I want and will hopefully get it in a month or two.

Slice of Life 3-6-13

Ok so I haven't been blogging everyday like I had planned to and that's probably my fault. I honestly thought I would blog every day since it doesn't take more than 10 minutes to do but apparently the hardest part of doing that is remembering to. So I thought of a plan. I'm going to try to remember! but besides blogging I have come to the conclusion that school should really be optional and that you shouldn't be failed for missing too many days. If you know the stuff then I don't think you should be failed if you miss too many days. If you have the grades and know your stuff you should pass right? Well apparently not according to the school board. Oh well I really just hope summer comes fast because I'm tired of school.

Slice of Life 3-4-13

Today I decided I would complain about Caleb's spelling and grammar because it really annoys me when I'm trying to read what he writes. He can not spell for crap. It is amazing how bad he spells something no matter how he's writing it. It could be on Twitter or texting or even on blogger! His grammar is just god awful and his punctuation sucks. Periods go right after words not a few spaces after them. The day he learns to spell and write will probably be the day Earth freezes over. But if you don't believe me about anything I just wrote then go read any of his posts on Twitter or on here and you'll see what I mean.

Slice of Life 3-2-13

Ok so today was a pretty good day even with that weird snow/ sleet or whatever you want to call it. That stuff stuck to the road real good and fast too. But before that happened I finished ripping out my back deck for the pool and I got to chain my truck to the poles and rip them out which I had been waiting to do for a LONG time. Since where the deck was is muddy my truck got a little dirty and my tires grabbed a ton of mud so when I got on the road it was slinging it all over. I did get a little mad though when I saw a truck exactly like mine with the exact same rims on it today. But hey, on the bright side Duke beat Miami and Ryan Kelly came back!

Slice of Life 3-1-13

Today I am going to write about one of my friends and basketball teammates, Caleb. I met him in probably 4th grade and we have been best friends almost ever since. We used to hang out every day and basically almost live with each other of the summer. We might have met each other through school but we used to play baseball and basketball together for the optimist club as kids. Up until our 8th grade year we had always played basketball for the optimist club together. In 8th grade we both made the school team and played for the school. That was the year I quit playing baseball but he still plays. Ever since then we've both played for the school team though and this year we played a lot together as starters. We don't hang out as much as we used to but we're still really good friends.

Slice of Life

The other day I started tearing up my deck so that we can get our pool put in and it's pretty hard to do. Taking out all the floor boards is probably the worst part and it takes FOREVER. I have to take out every single nail in every board and those nails sure have added up! I filled up the first trailer full yesterday though and took it to the dump. When I got home i talked to mom about the pool and she said they should start working on it next week and finish in April. I wasn't too happy about that because I thought it would be done by the end of March. Oh well atleast I'll have a nice pool.

The Big Field

Last night I finished a really good book called The Big Field. It's about this teenager who's in love with baseball and is playin legion but this new kid named Daryl comes and steals Hutch's spot and shortstop and moves Hutch over to second. There was tension between the two of them all season up until the last game or two of the championship.

This is hard

This whole blogger deal is pretty hard. I wish it was more like twitter because I actually know how to use it. This is really just confusing as crap.
